The Pittsburgh Steelers make no bones about who they are as a team.

A town built on steel and the labor of hardworking men and women, the city of Pittsburgh and the football team embrace a similar identity.

So when newcomers make their way to the 412, they quickly realize that this team isn't built the same:

Allen Robinson was acquired via trade with the Los Angeles Rams. The Steelers certainly won the trade from a financial perspective, only leveraging a 7th-round pick and having the Rams pick up most of Robinson's contract.

The former Pro Bowler is coming off an injury-deprived season, but when healthy he has been one of the most underrated receivers in the league, especially given the crop of quarterbacks that plagued his time in Jacksonville and in Chicago.

But those days are behind him and the soon-to-be 30-year-old is embracing a fresh start and loving what the Steelers have to offer. In a recent appearance on The Rich Eisen Show, Robinson said the following when asked about the projection of the 2023 Steelers amongst their divisional foes:

"Man, I'll mean it's a great division. I think that as a competitor, as a player, you know, that's what you want to do, you want to line up against the best talent across the league, each and every Sunday," answered Robinson.

"And for us, we know the competitive position that we have, you know, but again, I think that when you have the group of players that we have, when you have the character of guys that we have in this locker room and we have the "grit" of guys that we're having that we have in the locker room, we're looking forward to that challenge each and every Sunday."

"Grit" is the operative word in that answer from Robinson. The Steelers emulate that down in and down out whether it be on offense or defense, and it's the main reason why their culture is known as one of the best in the league.

"You know, we're making sure that even right now, today as we go through the spring we're mentally preparing ourselves for some of the different things that may happen during the season, for any adverse moment," said Robinson.

"I think that you can already kind of see the "grit" of the group starting to form. Again, when you have a coach like Mike Tomlin, he knows how to get guys to rally around each other. He knows how to get guys to buy into each other and different things like that. And like I said before me we have something special forming and you can tell already."

So while Robinson may have just gotten to Pittsburgh, he is seemingly fitting in like a glove. The playbook will come, and the chemistry between him and QB Kenny Pickett will form, but the hard part of his change is already done.

Robinson is all in the Steelers, now it's time they are all in on winning this fall.
