The Dallas Cowboys have a lot of decisions to make this offseason that go beyond the actual roster. As Mike McCarthy and newly appointed offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer take over the offense, they need to replace several coaching positions left vacant.
Schottenheimer is already bringing in a face he's very familiar with. Coach Will Harriger will arrive under the ambiguous "offensive assistant" label.
Harriger worked with the Schottenheimer when he was with the Seattle Seahawks (2018-2020) and the Jacksonville Jaguars (2021). The pair will be working under Mike McCarthy, who will be installing his West Coast offense and calling the plays.
Interestingly enough, Dan Quinn can also vouch for Harriger as he had him in Atlanta when he was the head coach of the Falcons.
Harriger notably has ties with offensive guru Lincoln Riley as he worked with the quarterbacks at USC as an offensive assistant. Cowboys Nation will likely be crossing its fingers to see some nuggets from the college football standout coach in Dallas.
