It's finally here everyone. It's Barbenheimer weekend! Greta Gerwig's Barbie and Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer both release in theaters this weekend. It might very well be the biggest movie weekend in a very long time. For those who love the movies and love watching them in theaters, you know how big this is for the theater industry. For the Detroit Lions, it's a big weekend too. They start training camp this weekend.

Believe it or not, there is somehow a crossover here. NFL players and personalities were asked at the ESPY's which NFL player they thought could play the role of Barbie's iconic love interest Ken on the silver screen. Look who a lot of them picked.

You'll of course notice that Lions cornerback Jerry Jacobs is one of the NFL players that suggests that Goff could play Ken. I'm sure this will come up at camp soon. Why do people pick Goff? It's probably because of Goff's resemblance to Ryan Gosling. Everyone seems to see it. Goff has even brought it up before.

Others who were selected in the video were Joe Burrow, Trevor Lawrence and Deion Sanders. My only contention there is with Lawrence. I just don't see it.

If you put a gun to my head and asked me to cast Ken from a group of NFL players. I think I would have to go with Jimmy Garoppolo. He's a good looking cat. I wouldn't at all be shocked if he found his way tot he screen after he's done with football.

Update: Looks like the Detroit Lions agree with this casting.
