Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne emerged as one of the most elite wide receiver duos in the history of the NFL while with the Indianapolis Colts. The two provided Peyton Manning with dangerous targets through the air and are franchise legends.

Harrison is the father of fast-rising NFL Draft prospect Marvin Harrison Jr. Wayne, meanwhile, is on the Colts' coaching staff. And he believes that Jr. might be better than his former teammate.

“He’s bigger than Marvin,” Wayne told Nate Atkins of the Indianapolis Star about the younger Harrison. “He’s tall. He’s faster than Marv.”

To put things into perspective, Harrison was drafted in the first-round of the 1996 NFL Draft before turning in a Hall of Fame career. There aren't too many wideouts that had as big of an impact as he did.

Still, Harrison Jr. is already generating a ton of draft hype. Even though he still has one more season of college football before he can be eligible to be selected. In fact, Ohio State offensive coordinator Brian Hartline recently ranked MHJ above some significant company.

"Marvin is an NFL prototype," Hartline said.

Hartline has coached an impressive group of receivers. He knows everything there is to know about the players he mentioned above. And he is not the only one that sees the special talent that Harrison Jr. is.

MHJ was one of the best wideouts in college football as a sophomore. His 77 catches last season turned into 1,263 yards and 14 touchdowns. It stands reason to believe he will be even better next season.

There seems to be a realistic chance that Marvin Harrison Jr. follows in his father's footsteps and becomes a first-round draft selection. Reggie Wayne is calling his shot that the younger Harrison will be the better of the two.

Perhaps MHJ will be wearing an Indianapolis Colts uniform on the next level.
