The hottest topic in Nashville right now is NFL free agent wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins and his recent visit to the Tennessee Titans.
Hopkins, a five-time NFL Pro-Bowler, was released by the Arizona Cardinals late last month.
The former Clemson Tigers standout, who turned 31 last week, is the most coveted NFL free agent that's currently available.
On Tuesday morning, Titans fan Isaac Richardson, AKA Bam Rich, called into 104.5 The Zone's "Ramon, Kayla, and Will" to detail a run-in he had with Hopkins.
Bam Rich, a drummer/musician, told 104.5 that Hopkins was at his gig on Monday.
"He said 'Man, Nashville's a vibe…it's a really a vibe, bro. I didn't even know y'all was down here living like this,'" said Bam Rich.
Bam Rich said he told Hopkins that the Titans need him in the wide receiver room, to which Hopkins responded "Man, we're gonna see what's up bro".
All reports have indicated that Hopkins' visit to Nashville went extremely well.
The free-agent wide receiver, however, still has more visits on the itinerary. Up next for Hopkins is a visit to the New England Patriots (where the offensive coordinator is Bill O'Brien, the former Houston Texans coach/GM who sent Hopkins to Arizona in an ill-advised trade in early 2020).
It sounds like the Titans are in a good spot for Hopkins, but that doesn't mean they'll for sure land the former first-round draft pick. This saga will likely have a few twists and turns before the dust settles.
