DeAndre Hopkins will receive a warm welcome when he arrives in Nashville. He's what the Tennessee Titans needed on their roster desperately. He will slot in as their top target at wide receiver. He'll have pressure on him, but he isn't new to that. Additionally, though, he could have two Titans curses on him as well.
Firstly, if Hopkins chooses to keep his number from Arizona, he will dawn number 10 for Tennessee. That number has had very tough luck when it comes to the Titans in recent history.
Hopkins will look to end the trend of number 10's struggling in Tennessee. It's an intriguing narrative that folks definitely need to keep an eye on once he begins his Titans career.
Additionally, the Titans have a reputation with veteran wide receivers. It's not for the greatest reason, either. A handful of older wideouts have come to Tennessee to try to continue their strong careers. Often, they haven't been able to as a Titan. That list includes Randy Moss, Julio Jones, and Andre Johnson. None of them had a notable production output during their time with the team.
Hopkins will look to break that curse, too.
