Derrick Henry missed much of the 2021-2022 NFL season for the Tennessee Titans. He was dominant in the first half of the year before his injury on Halloween. There is no doubt their RB is ready for a healthy return next season.

Henry has always discussed work ethic and determination. That was tested more than ever this past season for the Titans running back. His injury was one with a difficult recovery, but he did it about as well as anyone could have asked. In his latest discussion with Omar Ruiz and NFL Total Access, Henry broke down his aspirations for next season.

The Vision for Next Season

The star RB and the Titans are both frustrated with how this past season ended. They were the top seed in the AFC for the postseason. They were about as healthy as they were all year entering the playoffs. Regardless, they got booted by the eventual AFC title-winning Cincinnati Bengals.

It sounds like Henry and the rest of the team plan on using that as fuel going into next year when they expect to have a lot of the same talent back. The defense made strides in 2021-2022, and they are almost guaranteed to have better injury luck in 2022-2023.

Hearing Henry sound as motivated as ever has to make Titans fans feel even more excited for next year. It is a long way away, but their best player is already ready to be back and dominating defenses again.
