The Tennessee Vols are one of three programs still in the mix for an elite 2023 four-star wide receiver from Tallahassee, FL.
Traylon Ray revealed his top three schools on Saturday, and he included Tennessee, along with Mississippi State, and West Virginia.
(It's kind of interesting that the other two programs in his top three run the air raid offense, which has similarities to Josh Heupel's offense at Tennessee.)
Ray, 6-foot-3/180 lbs, is ranked in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 39 wide receiver in the nation and the No. 60 player in the state of Florida.
The talented athlete, who also plays basketball, is planning to visit Tennessee sometime this fall. He's not expected to make a decision until sometime after his senior season, though that could certainly change.
The Vols currently have 21 players committed to their 2023 recruiting class, which is ranked No. 11 in the nation. Tennessee only has two wide receivers committed so far (Nathan Leacock and Nate Spillman), so they could certainly use another talented player to add to that group.
