Free agent wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins was in Nashville this past weekend for a visit with Tennessee Titans coaches and players.

While Hopkins left Nashville without a deal on Monday afternoon and is currently meeting with the New England Patriots, Dianna Russini of ESPN reported earlier this week that Hopkins' visit with the Titans "went well."

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk has now reported that the Titans did formally make Hopkins a financial offer while he was in Nashville. Buck Reising of AtoZ Sports has since been able to confirm that report.

"Hopkins visited with the Titans. Sources say the visit went well and the Titans extended an offer," Florio said on Pro Football Talk alongside Chris Sims. "They've done their homework. Barring the guy showing up and pissing everyone off, they were going to give him an offer."

Titans head coach Mike Vrabel told the media on Wednesday that the organization would "continue to follow up" with Hopkins and "see where it goes."

Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill was among the players that spent time with Hopkins during his visit. Tannehill said it was his first time meeting Hopkins and that the two of them had "great conversations."

As of now, the terms of the offer extended by Tennessee remain unknown.
