Former Tennessee Vols third baseman Trey Lipscomb made an incredible play in the field for the Fredericksburg Nationals this week and it sent the announcer into a frenzy.

Lipscomb, who was playing third base for Fredericksburg, jumped to his left and snagged a sharply hit line drive, robbing the batter of what should've been a base hit.

After Lipscomb made the play, the announcer went B-A-N-A-N-A-S.

Check it out:

The play was terrific, but it was overshadowed a bit by the announcer's wild reaction.

Lipscomb, by the way, is hitting .299 with one home run and 13 RBI in 23 games with Fredericksburg.

The Nationals selected the former Vol in the third round of the 2022 MLB Amateur Draft.
