What angry Alabama fans did today will have you rolling with laughter
It's been a day since Josh Heupel and the Tennessee Volunteers took down Alabama. In the 24 or so hours since that incredible triumph, it's been nothing but the most joyous celebrations for Vol fans. It's been a day since Josh Heupel and the Tennessee Volunteers took down Alabama. In the 24 or so hours since that incredible triumph, it's been nothing but the most joyous celebrations for Vol fans.
But on the opposite end of the spectrum, Crimson Tide fans have had a full-on Defcon 1 meltdown. Considering Nick Saban's Evil Empire hasn't lost that much in general since he's been the coach and they've never lost to UT in the Saban era until Saturday, this isn't surprising. I doubt they have any idea how to process this kind of disappointment.
The whole thing has been unbelievably fun to watch. But perhaps the most amazing part of the Bama fan devastation has been the ENDLESS excuses they have for why their team lost. They've blamed Bryce Young's "injury" (which is absurd because he was clearly fully healthy), their horrendous defensive backs, and much more. But by far, the excuse that they've used the most has been… officiating.
That's right, Alabama fans think they somehow got screwed by the referees in the Tennessee game.
Let me say that again… ALABAMA FANS SERIOUSLY THINK THEIR TEAM GOT CHEATED BY THE REFS.
The irony is almost too much to handle.
These spoiled brats that cheer for a team that has gotten a million favorable calls in every game for 15 years now think suddenly that there's a conspiracy against their team that goes all the way to the top! Please look at all of these absolutely comical tweets from weeping Bama fans…
There's a thousand more where those came from. They're completely unhinged and I love it so much. The whining of Alabama fans is rich like a beautifully marbled steak. It's made me smile the entire day.
I hope Coach Heupel keeps winning like this because I want this to happen every season forever.
Go Vols.
