What It All Means

As we reported this morning, Cam Heyward is officially having surgery to fix a groin tear that is actually a sports hernia injury. With an approximate timeline of eight weeks, it was never a matter of if, but when we would see Heyward placed on the I.R.

As far as the practice squad moves, the promotion of Dez Fitzpatrick to the active roster comes in light of Diontae Johnson and other injury news to the Steelers' offensive weaponry.

The release of Anthony Brown is surprising considering he was signed after the roster deadline and made little to no impact either positively or negatively, perhaps pointing to a larger move down the road
