It appeared that Baltimore may take a tackle in the first round, instead, they find their guy in the second round. After letting go of RT Morgan Moses this offseason, there was an obvious need for tackle help for the Ravens.
Rosengarten started 28 games over the last two seasons for Washington. At 6-foot-5 and 308 pounds, the new Ravens tackle ran a 4.92 40-yard dash during the draft process. One of the more athletic tackles in this class that has great footwork and brings the ability to get upfield in the run game.
Protecting Lamar Jackson is everything for the Ravens and they show that by taking a tackle early on in the draft when they needed to. While the Ravens still have some questions along the offensive line, adding Rosengarten helps the cause.
Baltimore went defense in the first round by taking CB Nate Wiggins out of Clemson. With this pick they flip to the other side of the ball and hit another need that they have on the roster.
