Derrick Henry's future has been a hot topic this offseason as the Tennessee Titans hit a reset button with the hiring of Ran Carthon as the team's general manager, but the superstar running back is showing no signs of moving on from Nashville.

Potential trade talk began at February's NFL Combine. Rumors of the Titans “shopping” Henry and his $16.367 million cap hit began to surface, but nothing materialized and Carthon ultimately denied the trade rumors in March.

Saturday morning a tweet started to quickly gain steam about the Philadelphia Eagles making a move to acquire Henry from the Titans. Henry, however, has shown no signs of being on the move, and his recent social media presence would contradict any buzz about the Eagles.

Henry had a Twitter exchange on Friday night with the Nashville based Raw Room Podcast about joining the show in studio once he gets back in town. The Raw Room podcast is hosted by former Titans teammate Daren Bates and former Falcons cornerback Jalen Collins.

With Henry planning on returning to Nashville in the near future, it’s clear that the future Hall of Famer is not anticipating an imminent trade.

The Titans opened their offseason team activities this past week at St. Thomas Sports Park, with the majority of players in attendance, including quarterback Ryan Tannehill.

Henry was not spotted in any of the team's social media posts of workouts, which is no surprise. It's widely known that Henry trains in the offseason in Dallas, TX and typically returns to team activities sometime after the NFL Draft.

Derrick Henry's future with Titans still not guaranteed

With the 29-year-old running back due $10.5 million in base salary and counting for over $16 million on the Titans salary cap in 2023, fans should still keep their heads on a swivel for a move as the draft approaches.

The futures of Henry, Tannehill, and All-Pro Safety Kevin Byard, who have three of the four biggest cap hits on the team, remain very much up in the air.

The Eagles just made Jalen Hurts the highest paid player in NFL history with a contract extension this month. Coming off a loss in Super Bowl LVII, a move for Henry would be the Eagles pushing their chips all-in.

While it doesn’t seem like a Henry trade is imminent or even likely, you never know what to expect this time of year. We all know that based on last year's draft day A.J. Brown trade between Tennessee and Philadelphia.
