One of the main storylines heading into the most recent installment of the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals rivalry centered on the battles at the line of scrimmage. On one side, Cincinnati's front seven went up against a Ravens offensive line that was without two starters in Ronnie Stanley (knee) and Tyler Linderbaum (ankle) due to their respective injuries.

In the end, Baltimore’s offensive line had the last laugh.

Lamar Jackson was not sacked and was hit a mere once in the Ravens’ 27-24 win over Cincinnati. The two-time Pro Bowler regularly had plenty of time in the pocket to either survey his options downfield or run with the football.

Overall, the Bengals struggled to get any pressure on Jackson. As noted by NFL Next Gen Stats, Jackson faced a 9.1 percent pressure rate in Week 2, which is a new career best.

Multiple Ravens offensive lineman handily won their respective duels in Week 2. For one, Patrick Mekari, who filled in for Stanley at the left tackle position, squared off with Bengals defensive end Trey Hendrickson, and the two-time Pro Bowler wound up failing to log a single quarterback pressure against the Ravens.

Bengals head coach Zac Taylor is well aware that his defense had quite a difficult time getting to Jackson.

"It's a challenge," Taylor said after the game. "There are pressures there where he's elite with his movement skills. Some quarterbacks, the pressure would be there and affect him. For him, he just skips around it and is able to move on. You have to rush him differently. He does such a good job in the pocket."

Jackson now holds an astounding 7-1 career record against the Bengals.
