J.K. Dobbins faces an uncertain future with the Baltimore Ravens.

Dobbins will become an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his career next month. He did not bolster his market value in the 2023 campaign. His fourth year in Baltimore was ultimately cut short after he suffered a season-ending torn Achilles injury during the Ravens’ regular-season opener against the Houston Texans.

Dobbins could end up re-signing with the Ravens.

During a recent appearance on PressBox’s "Glenn Clark Radio" show, ESPN insider Jeremy Fowler noted that the Ravens have not shut down the possibility of Dobbins staying put in Baltimore.

"The door is open to potentially come back," Fowler said. "They’ve had a good relationship, they even were going to talk about an extension before he got hurt. So, it’s a player they value. But the injuries were severe enough where there probably has to be a little of a waiting period.

"Typically when guys get hurt and need all offseason to recover, or most of the offseason, they wait to sign."

Fowler added that the Ravens will "keep the line of communication on that."

Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta did recently note that in the case of Dobbins and also soon-to-be free agent Gus Edwards, "We’ll see where things kind of lay."

Dobbins has tallied 1,524 yards from scrimmage over 24 regular season games played with the Ravens.
