The Baltimore Ravens could end up seeing Marlon Humphrey be cleared to play in their upcoming home matchup against the Los Angeles Rams.
Humphrey said after Baltimore’s first practice session of the week that he is "ready" to return to in-game action.
"I feel good," Humphrey said on Wednesday. "Ready to rock."
Humphrey has been nursing a non-contact calf injury sustained during the Ravens’ home loss to the Cleveland Browns last month. There was initial concern that the veteran cornerback suffered a long-term injury during the divisional contest, but the team did not go on to place him on the injured reserve list in the week after the game.
After being sidelined from Baltimore’s home game against the Cincinnati Bengals, Humphrey went on to be a limited participant in each of the Ravens' three practice sessions ahead of their road matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. The Ravens ultimately took the conservative route by ruling him out for Week 12.
If Humphrey does not end up receiving the green light to play in Week 14, then Brandon Stephens is expected to be called on to cover Rams wideout Cooper Kupp in the contest. Stephens squared off with Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase and Chargers wideout Keenan Allen over the Ravens’ last two games.
