The Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins contest has all the makings to be one for the ages. Unfortunately, just days before the contest, it's been ruled that superstar S Jordan Poyer is ruled out with an injury, I previously wrote about his injury.

Now, it appears the Dolphins are facing their own brutal injury as it's been reported that LB Jaelan Phillips will also be ruled out of the contest, as Marcel Louis-Jaques reported on Twitter/X.

Josh Allen is the ultimate beneficiary of this injury update as he will have a little pressure taken off of him from a pass-rushing perspective. The Dolphins' defensive line, missing one of their top guys, will hopefully give the advantage to the Buffalo Bills offensive line which has been shining in recent weeks.

Giving Allen time in the pocket to dissect the defense is going to be of the utmost importance in this matchup. If he has time in the pocket, we like his chances. Hell, even if he doesn't have time in the pocket Allen has proven throughout his career that he can be dangerous with his legs.

Despite being bitter rivals, we were hoping that both teams would be at 100% in this matchup and never wish an injury on our worst enemy. The Bills losing Poyer and the Dolphins losing Phillips are going to have an impact on the contest.

It's up to both teams to see who can fight through the adversity and overcome the challenges that they face even before kickoff.
