For some fans, it will always be The Ralph, or even newer fans New Era, even newer Highmark Stadium. Regardless, the Bills Mafia are in for a treat as more information is coming out about what the stadium is going to include.
Getting a brand new stadium to go along with the top-tier product that is on the field is beyond exciting for a city and fan base that love their team so much. Now, it appears the Bills Mafia have been given another reason to celebrate.
While appearing on The Pat McAfee Show, Bills general manager Brandon Beane talked with McAfee about some features of the stadium. Specifically, the larger-than-life buffaloes that will be outside. Whether he was joking or not, Beane gave the Bills Mafia a big reason to celebrate.
Pat McAfee pulled up the latest renderings of the stadium, showcasing the massive buffaloes that are supposedly going to be outside, before letting Beane know how he felt about this decision.
"I've been told, Beane. I'm not happy about it and neither are the people. These fu**ing buffaloes are not the size of the ones that are not going to be in real life. I've been told that you guys got little baby buffaloes in real life. And on this sketch, these things are almost the size of the stadium. Where is the miscommunication Beane? Are we getting big ass buffaloes? Or is it going to be little smaller buffaloes out there in real life?"
Beane, laughing throughout McAfee's rant, gave the same energy with his response. The Bills general manager knows how to nail an interview, it's no wonder why he's so beloved among the fanbase.
"We're going to be big ass buffaloes," Beane responded matter-of-factly. "Hopefully some live ones, how about that?"
McAfee ended, "Good luck with the new stadium build. We did hear that there's little baby buffaloes and there are Buffalonians that were not happy about it. So I'm happy to hear that we have big-ass buffaloes, that's good news."
Beane ended the segment in a way only he knows how, giving it back to McAfee and reminding the Bills Mafia, once again, that they're going to get their wish. "I'm all over it, big ass buffaloes."
We feel bad for anyone who isn't a Bills fan. Brandon Beane is one of the best GMs in the league and he just understands the fanbase.
Just a few more years until we get to see those big ass buffaloes, here's hoping Beane stays true to his word.
