The Buffalo Bills signed a wide receiver, just not the one that fans were expecting.
After months of Von Miller ensuring the Bills Mafia that OBJ would be coming to Buffalo, it appears that it may be dead in the water.
While there is a very slim chance it could still happen, the Bills' recent roster decision could have fans concerned it may never happen.
Welcome back, smoke
The team made the announcement that they would be signing fan-favorite John Brown to their practice squad.
Brown returns to a Bills offense that he knows all too well.
Brown, in his career with the Bills, had 105 receptions with 1518 yards and 9 touchdowns in the regular season.
Back in Buffalo
The speedy wide receiver had a career year with Josh Allen and fans are hoping for more of the same with his return.
With injuries running rampant across the roster, getting a familiar face on the team is a step in the right direction.
Fans remember vividly the emergence of John Brown and Cole Beasley helping take Josh Allen to the next level.
Brown was responsible for some explosive plays during his tenure in Buffalo. Pairing, once again, with Josh Allen will be a welcomed addition to this offense.
Injuries keep piling up
Nothing everything was good news today, however.
The team announced, in addition to signing John Brown, that rookie cornerback Christian Benford would be placed on the IR.
Luckily, it appears that Tre White will soon be back to 100% and no longer on a snap count sooner rather than later.
Unfortunately, it appears that the injury bug is still rearing its ugly head. Micah Hyde, Von Miller, Greg Rousseau, and Tremaine Edmunds are but a few members of the team that have missed substantial time.
In fact, when looking at the season, an alarming amount of stars have missed time.
John Brown being back is sure to make Bills Mafia excited. Whether he sees the field in any capacity is the one question that remains.
Nevertheless, it's always a good day when you can give Josh Allen even more weapons.
