The Buffalo Bills have some big holes on their roster that desperately need to be addressed. With the season rapidly approaching, we wanted to dive in and look at some potential cut candidates, we apologize in advance.

If it were our choice, everyone who ever played for the Bills would stay on the team and their roster would be 1,000+ but that can't happen. The unfortunate reality is that some players we really love, some players who we think could be or are really good, might just not be able to make the team.

We wanted to dive in and take a look at one potential cut candidate and with the team gearing up for their last preseason game, our eyes are on CB Cam Lewis. Lewis played for the University of Buffalo which immediately had me falling in love with him.

However, with some important depth needed at some other positions, I think he may be on the outside looking in when cutdown days approach.

Lewis is a former undrafted free agent who, as I mentioned previously, played college football at the University of Buffalo and has been with the team since 2019. Lewis has moved between the practice squad and the active roster and has managed four starts in 25 games due to other injuries on the team.

The CB position is stacked. I wrote about my 53-man projections and had the team keeping 6 players, with Lewis on the outside looking in. Tre White, Dane Jackson, Kaiir Elam, Christian Benford, Taron Johnson, and Siran Neal made the team. With Johnson being a dominant nickel corner, and Siran Neal a special teams ace that McDermott loves so dearly, it's hard to find a spot for Lewis.

Additionally, Lewis had been battling some injuries at camp which limited his ability to show the front office his growth at the position and battle it out with the aforementioned list. While it'd be a bit of a surprise, I could see the team moving away from him.

His role, when healthy, would be best put behind Johnson as a backup for the nickel corner position. This is purely speculation as the season is nearly underway. I don't want Lewis off the roster, but tough decisions needed to be made.
