Just a few days removed from a traumatic injury, Damar Hamlin made his first public announcement.

The Buffalo Bills and the entire world are clinging to every update they can get from the talented young safety.

From not being able to speak, to being able to facetime teammates and move his extremities, to now posting on his own, these are all great signs.

While Damar still has a long road to recovery left, it's encouraging to see all the progress he is making.

Damar's message

Hamlin quickly went viral for his posts on both Instagram and Twitter acknowledging the community and what he's been going through and will continue to battle during his rehabilitation.

Hamlin made a direct request for the millions of people monitoring his condition which was to continue praying for him. Hamlin's strength through these difficult and quite literally life-changing times has been an inspiration, to say the least.

Not all heroes wear capes

We would be remiss to not remind everyone of one of the heroes associated with his recovery. Assistant Bills athletic trainer Denny Kellington was vital in the survival of Hamlin. His quick actions to perform CPR almost instantly could have been the difference between life and death.

The entire sports world is breathing a sigh of relief with every positive development that is released regarding Hamlin's injury.

Brandon Beane's emotional response

Brandon Beane and the Bills front office, along with Josh Allen, highlighted the beauty that has arisen from such a traumatic experience.

Undoubtedly, the message will fuel the Buffalo Bills as they gear up for a divisional showdown against the New England Patriots. Buffalo is looking to lock up a top-three spot in the playoffs with a win over New England.

Before the matchup, Hamlin surprised the Buffalo players with a facetime message which included him flexing on camera. Again, this is the exact thing the players needed. It was easy to see the emotional toll that took place on Monday Night Football. Having their teammate at least be able to communicate slightly will be a massive lift for these players' mental health.

Our hearts are with Hamlin

Tomorrow in Orchard Park is going to be legendary. Hopefully Damar will be able to tune in from the hospital and see the outpouring of love from the entire community, and world.
