The Buffalo Bills' week is off to a fantastic start and that's not because of football-related reasons. Rather it's because Damar Hamlin continues making huge strides in his recovery.

On Monday, Hamlin's physicians at UC Medical Center told reporters in a live-streamed press conference that the Bills safety has been discharged from the hospital and that Hamlin is back in Buffalo.

"I can confirm he is doing well and this is the beginning of the next stage of his recovery," said Dr. William Knight IV about Hamlin's recovery.

Doctor Timothy Pritt and Doctor William Knight IV provided very promising updates in the press conference. They indicated that the Bills safety even walked his first lap around the hospital last Friday.

If you watched the game in Week 18, you likely got emotional when Bills running back Nyheim Hines took the opening kickoff to the house on a 96-yard touchdown. Well, it turns out Hamlin even set off alarms in the ICU, per the physicians.

Hamlin confirmed on social media he's already in Buffalo and being taken care of at Buffalo General.

As the Bills head into the playoffs, Hamlin's rapid recovery is undoubtedly giving them something bigger than football to play for.
