Watching any of the games last year, it was apparent that one of the biggest issues surrounding the team was that of the offensive line.
Lackluster performances forced Josh Allen to play hero ball much more than fans would have liked to see.
While the Bills Mafia understands that the team will live and die by Josh Allen playing hero ball, they need to see their franchise quarterback be better protected.
The latest move is one that should have Josh Allen smiling, and pounding the table for the front office to pull the trigger.
Aaron Wilson, NFL Insider, broke the news of a recent free agent visit the Bills held.
Reportedly, Buffalo brought in standout guard David Edwards for a visit. Edwards has spent the past four seasons in Los Angeles where he was a starting offensive lineman. In fact, before injuries, Edwards had played in 49 out of a possible 49 games, plus four playoff games and a Super Bowl win. Head injuries forced the talented guard to miss out on some time last season.
Again, the primary focus should be protecting and getting Josh Allen weapons. While the Bills recently signed Connor McGovern, who also plays guard, having some depth at that position or players who are versatile enough to play both left and right guard would benefit Allen and the offensive line.
Making Josh Allen happy makes Bills Mafia happy. Getting Josh Allen protected so he can continue to defy the odds on the football field should be the front office's top priority.
