DeAndre Hopkins to the Buffalo Bills rumors are alive and well, once again.
Just a few weeks ago, it seemed as though the trade rumors had reached a fever pitch. Hopkins reportedly wanted out of Arizona and Buffalo was rumored to be the top destination.
Hopkins added more fuel to the fire with a simple Instagram post that mentioned "Buffalo" by name. Although it was just a simple song lyric, the Bills Mafia thought it was too coincidental as it came in time with the rumored Bills trade.
Other teams had been thrown in the mix since that time: Kansas City Chiefs, New England Patriots, and the New York Jets to name a few.
However, things quickly died down when it was reported that Arizona may have too high of an asking price for the superstar wide receiver.
Now, without saying a single word, Hopkins reignited the trade rumors in a recent interview.
CBS Sports tweeted out an interview with DeAndre Hopkins where he was asked to not say a word but to let his body language do the talking. When mentioning the New England Patriots and New York Jets, Hopkins seemed despondent and uninterested. However, once the Buffalo Bills were mentioned, his whole demeanor changed.
Hopkins, similarly, had reacted positively when the Kansas City Chiefs were mentioned. The superstar wide receiver, if traded, would make an immediate impact. The potential of teaming up with Josh Allen or Patrick Mahomes was enough to elicit a positive response from Hopkins.
With the draft rapidly approaching, all eyes will be on Arizona if they would be willing to lower the cost for Hopkins. While not specifically mentioning Hopkins by name, Brandon Beane has been open about actively trying to make the team better. The talented Bills general manager always does his due diligence and we wouldn't be surprised to learn he has had talks with the Cardinals about a potential Hopkins trade.
DeAndre Hopkins took the time, after the interview was posted, to squash another rumor surrounding his potential trade. Hopkins, a top-end reciever in the NFL, could request a king's ransom for his services. However, it appears that money isn't the motivating factor, at least in Hopkins' mind.
Hopkins quoted himself in a tweet, discussing that a raise isn't what he's looking for. The tweet could indicate that his primary focus is on winning a championship and may take a discount if it means helping take a team to the next level.
An offense with DeAndre Hopkins, Josh Allen, and Stefon Diggs would be a nightmare for any opposing defense.
Brandon Beane has made some huge deals since his arrival in Buffalo, let's see if he has another one up his sleeve.
