The talk this week has been the loss to Tre'Davious White for the season from an Achilles injury, followed by the update that Von Miller has returned to practice. A mixed bag of emotions for the fanbase.
In their latest practice, the team is without rising star Greg Rousseau with a reported foot injury. This is now the second straight practice that Rousseau has missed, putting into question whether or not he will be available for the contest on Sunday.
Losing White hurts, and not having Miller back yet means this team needs to do everything they can to get a full bill of health before he can return to the field. The Buffalo Bills defense is currently tied for number one in the NFL for sacks, thanks in part to the work that Rousseau has been doing.
If he's unable to go for the contest, while the team does have depth at the position, it will ultimately hurt their chances to get after QB Trevor Lawrence.
It remains to be seen what the team is going to do with White's absence with former first-round pick Kaiir Elam being a healthy scratch throughout the season and Christian Benford still donning a red non-contact jersey in practice.
What's more, the team did get some good news as LB Baylon Spector was on the field with trainers and TE Dawson Knox, S Jordan Poyer, and RB Damien Harris were all at Thursday's practice, working with the team.
We're a few days away from kickoff, here's hoping that the team will get the rest they need and be at or near full health heading into the contest.
