Buffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane held a press conference on Tuesday in which he revealed gigantic news about the future of Damar Hamlin.
After months of getting small and ambiguous updates as the Bills safety navigated a complicated medical situation, Beane made one of the most important announcements yet about his health.
"(Hamlin) is fully cleared, he's here," the Bills GM told reporters. "And he's in a great headspace to make his return."
"He saw a couple of specialists here in Buffalo and then since then he's seen three additional specialists, most recently on Friday," revealed Beane. "They're all in agreement. He's cleared."
Beane confirmed Hamlin is going to be a part of the team's voluntary workouts on Tuesday.
It's been a long road for Hamlin. Not only was he once fighting a life-threatening situation following the Monday Night Football incident that stopped the world of sports and beyond, but the young player has made a tremendous effort to make a difference in the community since then.
Now, he gets to do what he loves the most: play football again.
Keep in mind, we weren't sure we'd get here a few months ago. At one point, the update we all wanted was that the young player was going to be okay, regardless of his future in football.
Hamlin is an absolute warrior. Bills Mafia, rejoice.
