The Buffalo Bills have a clear mindset this season. They want to contend for a Super Bowl title. For them to get anywhere close to that goal, their defensive line must give them more production when it comes to rushing the passer.

A key contributor has to be young rusher Greg Rousseau, and he is ready for the challenge. Rousseau started 13 games last season, totaling eight sacks, ten tackles for loss, and 37 total tackles. This year, he is setting his sights even higher. Rousseau wants to double his sack total in 2023.

Rousseau won't lack opportunities this season. He will see the field plenty for the Bills, and the improved talent along the defensive line should help him create even more pressure on the quarterback. The physical ability is clear along the line, but they have to prove that they can produce consistently, especially in the postseason.

Von Miller will be out for good chunk of time, so it's fair to project that Rousseau will step in and ball out. Offenses should be worried because the defensive front is shaping up to be something nice, especially with Floyd, Oliver getting healthy, and then, the inevitable return of Miller. Rousseau's hopeful continued improvements would go a long way when it comes to the DL's ceiling this season. The front office just gave Ed Oliver the bag, too. It's great news for fans that Rousseau isn't getting comfortable. He knows that the NFL will chew you up and spit you out if you become stagnant in production or effort. He's locked in for a playoff run in Buffalo.
