One of the biggest issues surrounding the Buffalo Bills right now is the devastating injuries the team has faced over the past few weeks. In just two games, the Bills have lost an All-Pro LB in Matt Milano, an All-Pro CB in Tre'Davious White, and a dominant defensive lineman in DaQuan Jones.
Even without those injuries, the team has suffered a slew of injuries on both sides of the football. Dane Jackson was banged up and his status was unknown, Christian Benford missed the last game, Dalton Kincaid is in concussion protocol, and Dawson Knox was dealing with a wrist injury.
Regardless of how special Josh Allen is, and how Sean McDermott has been able to unlock something special in the absence of Leslie Frazier, the brutal injuries have taken their toll.
Luckily, heading into the upcoming contest against the New York Giants, things seem to be turning around for the organization. While Jones, White, and Milano are most likely lost for the season, the team is getting some much-needed reinforcements for their next matchup.
Before practice, Sean McDermott announced that everyone would be participating in practice with no injury designations heading into the contest. That doesn't mean everyone will play, but it's a good sign that the team is nearing full health.
Outside of everyone practicing, the only other update McDermott provided was that Kincaid was still in concussion protocol, putting his status for Sunday Night in jeopardy.
It will be a reunion of sorts as Daniel Jones has been ruled out of the contest meaning former Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor will get the start in Buffalo. Taylor helped break the drought in Buffalo and holds a special place in the hearts of some of the Bills Mafia.
A team near full health, under the bright lights of Sunday Night Football, with a warm welcome back to Tyrod, it has all the makings for a special night.
Bills’ struggling position finally catches a break
The Buffalo Bills have been decimated by injuries in recent weeks. Fortunately, the team just got a huge boost with their latest injury update.
