The Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins are just days away from one of the most highly-anticipated games, and the Bills were just hit with some devastating news.

Adam Schefter broke the news that superstar S Jordan Poyer is ruled out for the contest against Miami due to a knee injury. I previously wrote about the injury concerns that had been mounting yesterday, and this confirms our fears.

Poyer is an absolute difference-maker on the football field and his absence cannot be overstated, it's going to hurt this defense. Poyer and Hyde are two of the very best at the position and can change the outcome of a contest almost single-handedly.

With just a few days remaining until the contest, this was the worst update to receive. Buffalo will need all hands on deck as the explosive Dolphins offense is firing on all cylinders and dropping 70 points on NFL teams.

Here's hoping that Poyer's injury isn't serious and this will be the only game that he will miss. Losing Poyer to a late September contest is brutal, but losing him toward the end of the year would be even worse.
