The Buffalo Bills are making their final preparations for what has all the makings to be the game of the year.

On Monday Night Football, Buffalo will take on the Cincinnati Bengals for what could wind up being the number one seed in the AFC.

Bigger than just one game

The matchup doesn't only have playoff implications, it can be considered a litmus test for both teams. Both the Bills and Bengals are enjoying a six-game and seven-game winning streak, respectively. As both teams look to the playoffs, a difficult opponent will let the world know just how ready either team may be.

Buffalo, who had been the odds-on favorite to win the Super Bowl, will look to maintain sky-high expectations from a fan base that's craving a Super Bowl. Cincinnati, fresh off a Super Bowl appearance, is looking to continue to show the world that they've arrived.

Injury update

With such a huge game almost underway, there were question marks surrounding one of the Bills' star's availability for the game.

Luckily, it appears we finally have an answer.

Just hours before kickoff, Cameron Wolfe of the NFL Network gave a huge boost to the red-hot Bills, "All-Pro safety Jordan Poyer will play tonight despite being questionable with a knee injury."

Poyer's status is undoubtedly a game-changer as the Bills take on one of the best three-headed monsters at receiver in the NFL. Jamar Chase, Tyler Boyd, and Tee Higgins are some of the best at their position. Buffalo will need every advantage to shut down the stellar Burrow-lead offense.

The All-Pro's questionable injury designation wasn't out of the ordinary this season. In fact, during camp, Poyer missed a substantial amount of time due to an elbow injury. The talented safety has been dealing with a barrage of injuries including a knee injury, as well. There have been a few weeks this season where Poyer had been listed as questionable but still found his way on the field at kickoff.

Insane Poyer statistic

Unprecedently, Buffalo is quite literally unstoppable when Jordan Poyer has been on the field this season. Buffalo is undefeated in games in which Jordan Poyer has played, making his impact on tonight that much more invaluable.

The bright lights are almost upon us as two of the very best quarterbacks in the NFL go head-to-head. Josh Allen and Joe Burrow find themselves deeply entrenched in the MVP discussion leading up to the second last game of the regular season.

Buckle up, Bills Mafia.
