The Buffalo Bills won their first preseason game against the Indianapolis Colts 23-19. There was far more good than bad, as I previously discussed the takeaways from the contest.

Matt Barkley torched the defense for multiple touchdowns which headlined the afternoon. Sean McDermott even opened up on the QB2 battle and that it's very much anyone's position right now.

Before the game, McDermott announced that QB Josh Allen and WR Stefon Diggs wouldn't be suiting up for the contest. However, Allen found a way to turn the tide of the game without playing a single snap.

It was reported, after the game, that Allen was calling some of the plays for the offense. While not unprecedented, it just adds another layer to Allen's elite abilities on and off the football field. Allen reminded the league that he was "him" without even touching the football.

Allen, from the sideline, still found a way to dissect the defense and lead his team to a victory, with some help from offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey of course.

On Allen calling the plays and how it translated to success, QB Matt Barkley opened up to the media, "I don't know the actual number. I do know that touchdown to Dez on the left, we had talked about it on the sideline."

"He called it…it might have been that whole drive. Dorsey was in my ear the whole time but I think Josh was relaying him up."

Ending his segment, throwing a little shade at QB1, Barkley had a perfect soundbite, "I don't wanna give too much credit here."

Allen, adding to his already impressive repertoire, once again stole the show.
