The Buffalo Bills have a tall task ahead of them as they look to win their fourth consecutive AFC East title.
Over the past few years, it's felt as though the gap has closed between teams in the division. The Miami Dolphins have made moves and had regime changes with Tua taking the next step, and the Jets have a nice young team with former MVP Aaron Rodgers taking over as signal caller. The Patriots, well they aren't doing so hot but winning as many championships as they have over the past decade plus has us okay with their recent struggles.
After their latest camp practice, Josh Allen joined up with Kay Adams for an appearance on Up and Adams to discuss all things football. Specifically, one topic that came up was that of the AFC East and the relationship between him and Aaron Rodgers.
Kay, trying to rile up Allen a little bit, started with "How can you be friends with the enemy?" Asking about Allen's relationship with AFC East rival Rodgers. Allen, like always, was calculated with his response. The Bills franchise quarterback allowed the world an inside look at their personal relationship.
"He wasn't the enemy when I first became friends with him." Allen started.
"I love Aaron though. He's so awesome… Off the field just having conversations with him, we've golfed a few times together. He's just, I really enjoy being around him. I don't know why he likes me as much as he does because I feel like he's a very straight-lined guy. He either likes you or he doesn't. I'm not sure what I did to get on that right side but I'm glad I did."
There appears to be no animosity between the two, but their competitive nature is sure to shine through as they will take on one another at least twice this season.
In their two head-to-head matchups thus far in their careers, the two have split games. Allen took on the Green Bay Packers in his rookie season that saw the Rodgers-led Packers shut out the Bills. Then, last season, Josh Allen was able to exact revenge with a primetime win against the Packers that had Buffalo continue their impressive start to the season.
They won't wait long to face off this season as Buffalo is taking on the New York Jets in week one, in New Jersey.
We can't wait to see what happens.
Josh Allen goes down with injury in second straight practice
The Buffalo Bills’ success largely rests on the shoulders of Josh Allen. Another camp scare might have the organization changing a few things up.
