The Buffalo Bills are preparing for battle against the Las Vegas Raiders. While the team gets ready to take the field, the team has announced the list of inactives for the upcoming contest.

Once again, the team has made the decision to sit former first-round pick and CB Kaiir Elam. Elam had an up-and-down camp after shining late last year. It appears, for now, that the position belongs to Christian Benford.

Take a look at the inactive for both teams heading into their matchup.

Bills Inactive List:

  • S Damar Hamlin
  • CB Kaiir Elam
  • DE Kingsley Jonathan
  • G Germain Ifedi
  • T Alec Anderson

Raiders Inactive List:

  • QB Aidan O'Connell
  • WR Jakobi Meyers
  • S Chris Smith II
  • DE Chandler Jones
  • LB Amari Burney
  • DT Nesta Jade Silvera

Observations

Elam being inactive is starting to become a trend, putting him at risk of riding the bench as long as the secondary is healthy. There were high hopes that he would come in and contribute, but it looks like the front office may not feel the same way.

The Buffalo Bills are taking on a Raiders team without one of their star pass rushers Chandler Jones and one of their top receiving threats Jakobi Meyers. Buffalo immediately gets a boost on both sides of the ball.

Can Josh Allen find time in the pocket to dissect the defense? Will the Bills defense be able to shut down a unit without one of their top guys? All eyes are going to be on both the offense and defense as the team looks to bounce back from their devastating loss in week one.

Here's hoping Josh Allen puts up an elite performance and we can forget about a former first-rounder being a healthy scratch in back-to-back weeks.
