Days before the contest, Josh Allen made a special request of the devout fanbase, encouraging them to be loud as they would undoubtedly have an impact on the game. Needless to say, that's exactly what the fanbase did.
The Bills Mafia made life difficult for Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins' offense. While the contest may have been in late September, the Bills Mafia made the atmosphere feel like a playoff game.
Tyreek Hill had called out the fanbase, claiming they were just like any other in the NFL. He learned a very valuable lesson that day as Sean McDermott's defense found a way to shut him down and the crowd made their impact early and often.
After the game, McDermott gave the Bills Mafia an incredible gift, he sang their praises and thanked them for all that they were able to do during the game. Specifically, McDermott opened up on how he believes it was the loudest crowd he's ever been a part of.
"I don't think I've heard a crowd that loud in my career in the NFL. TB (Terrel Bernard) couldn't hear me, like I told you I've been in the league a long time and as loud of a crowd as I've ever heard in my time in the NFL… That's as loud as it gets man."
McDermott continued, "I don't know how in our world it can get any louder. It sounded like jet engines out there, it was deafening. "
When a superstar QB that's so beloved by the fanbase and community directly asks for the fans to be loud, they're going to make it happen, especially the Bills Mafia.
