The Buffalo Bills got a good one in Florida OL O'Cyrus Torrence.
Brandon Beane and Sean McDermott, unlike the first round, waited and let the board fall to them. Torrence was widely considered one of the best IOL in the entire draft. Josh Allen has to be smiling somewhere.
Torrence will immediately look to compete for a starting role on gamedays and the Buffalo Bills now have substantial depth on the inside of the offensive line. Getting some protection for Josh Allen is a smart move from the organization.
Now, immediately after being drafted, the Bills Mafia is getting a better idea of what kind of man Torrence is outside of football. Needless to say, his character is exactly the type that McDermott and Beane love.
The city of Buffalo is known as the city of good neighbors and it appears Torrence is going to fit in well with that ideology. Buffalo Bills PR on Twitter released some quick facts about Torrence and one immediately caught the eye of fans.
One of Torrence's personal goals is to buy his grandmother a home. On top of that, according to The Athletic, Torrence took a portion of his money earned in college to help his mother and grandmother get by.
Instead of talking about Pro-Bowls or personal accolades, Torrence wants to give back to his family. Some things truly are bigger than football. We have a feeling Torrence is going to fit in well with the community and fanbase.
