The Buffalo Bills' loss to the New York Jets was made even worse as C Mitch Morse and S Micah Hyde suffered injuries late into the contest. Hyde could be seen running off with trainers before OT and Morse had X-rays on his hand.
I previously wrote about how the front office had been quiet, aside from a cryptic message from Bills head coach Sean McDermott on the availability of two of their star players.
Now, it appears we finally have an answer. Well, sort of. Alaina Getzenberg, ESPN reporter for the Buffalo Bills, put a message out on X that should allow every member of the Bills Mafia to give out a sigh of relief.
In the Bills latest practice, it looks like they have a full bill of health while gearing up for their home opener against the Las Vegas Raiders. Getting Morse and Hyde back from injury will be huge for the team's chances moving forward.
Hyde has been a difference-maker on this defense, paired with Jordan Poyer, they are borderline unstoppable. The veteran safety, unfortunately, hadn't seen the field much over the past year as he suffered a reported neck injury during the home opener last year and was lost for the season.
If Buffalo wants to win the Super Bowl, health is going to play a big factor. That, and Josh Allen limiting his turnovers. That's an entirely different discussion.
While it won't make the loss go away, this will go a long way at easing the minds of Bills fans that one of the best safeties across the entire NFL is back and healthy once again.
Bills’ Stefon Diggs back in the national spotlight over latest Josh Allen message
The Buffalo Bills WR was front and center this offseason, and not always for the right reasons. Once again, Diggs took to the mic and opened up about his experiences.
