With each passing day, more information becomes available on the situation surrounding Damar Hamlin and the Buffalo Bills.

Today was no different as doctors gave an update on the talented safety, announcing that Hamlin is regaining strength and trending in the right direction.

The Bills safety suffered a reported cardiac arrest during Monday Night Football in which CPR was administered that ultimately saved his life.

Heroic act

Further details have since been revealed surrounding the incident, and a hero who very well could be responsible for saving Hamlin's life.

Denny Kellington, an assistant athletic trainer for the Bills, quickly jumped into action after Hamlin collapsed on the football field. It's been reported that the trainer's speed and skill were a literal game-changer for Hamlin's life.

Kellington's ability to administer CPR in the midst of a literal crisis is the stuff of heroes. This once again proves the sentiment that not all heroes wear capes.

While doctors gave an update on the player's condition, providing some good news, he's still not out of the woods yet.

Recovery

Hamlin will be on the road to recovery for some time but the good news is exactly what the sports world needed to hear. The traumatic injury was something that the Bills Mafia and fans of the entire NFL will never forget.

Once again, Buffalo and the entire NFL community took something traumatic and morphed it into something beautiful. Just moments after Hamlin collapsed on the field, fans of the NFL started flooding donations to Hamlin's toy drive from a few years ago.

The Bills will somehow need to find a way to make it onto the field and compete on Sunday against the New England Patriots. The good news from a diagnosis perspective will give the team a much-needed boost. For right now, their brother is doing better and is fighting.

The entire world is with Damar Hamlin and the Buffalo Bills right now.
