The Buffalo Bills lost a heartbreaker to the Denver Broncos on a last-second field goal by Wil Lutz as time expired to drop the team to 5-5 and diminish their playoff chances to well below 50%.
Once again, the offense didn't show up to the contest. Josh Allen had multiple turnovers in the loss while the defense did their best to try and contain the Broncos without a slew of key starters who were out with injuries.
Buffalo had the game in their hands when Lutz missed a field goal as time expired until the flag showed up. Officials noticed that the Bills defense had 12 men on the field, giving the Broncos another chance that they didn't waste away.
Put plainly, this could very well be a fireable offense. The Denver Broncos gift-wrapped Buffalo a win multiple times in the game, but Buffalo kept turning the ball over. An ugly ending to a disappointing season.
Buffalo doesn't have much time to lick their wounds and try to fix things as the team has the third hardest schedule remaining in the entire NFL. Things aren't looking good in Buffalo during a season where the team was expected to be one of the elite teams across the league.
