The Buffalo Bills added more much-needed offensive line depth this week.

The Bills announced Thursday that they signed guard David Edwards. Buffalo hosted Edwards on a free-agent visit earlier this week.

Edwards joins Alec Anderson, Ryan Bates, Ike Boettger, Spencer Brown, Dion Dawkins, Tommy Doyle, Greg Mancz, Connor McGovern, Mitch Morse, David Quessenberry and Ryan Van Demark on the Bills’ offensive line depth chart.

The Bills signed Edwards to a one-year contract. The former Los Angeles Rams guard missed most of last season with concussions. He’s started 50 of 58 career games, including the Rams’ Super Bowl LVI win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

The 2019 fifth-round pick out of Wisconsin has played most of his career at left guard, though he also has some experience at left tackle, right guard and right tackle.

Quarterback Josh Allen should get some improved protection from Edwards and McGovern, another free-agent addition.
