The Buffalo Bills lost a close game to the Jets, 17-20.

To add insult to injury, the Bills suffered some key injuries to Greg Rousseau and Dane Jackson.

What's more, Allen looked shaken up as he took a brutal hit to his throwing arm. An injury that could completely change the season.

The already injury-plagued team can't afford to lose even more players.

The one bright spot, another week, more history for the Bills' franchise quarterback.

Josh Allen is now tied for eight all-time for rushing touchdowns by a quarterback.

Nail-biter down the stretch

Late in the fourth quarter, the score was tied at 17.

The franchise QB looked off, Wilson was balling out, and the Bills needed a momentum shift.

The Jets marched their way down the field with their running game, gashing the Bills defense.

Buffalo held the Jets to three points which set up Josh Allen to complete some late-game heroics.

Unfortunately, a sack and a penalty on a huge play proved costly.

Allen wasn't able to complete the comeback as the Bills fell to the Jets 17-20.

Josh Allen struggles, pulls out win

Allen started the first drive with an interception after working the ball down the field on a long pass to Stefon Diggs.

In the first quarter, Allen escaped the pocket for yet another highlight-reel play. Down at the one, Allen was able to sneak it in for a historic touchdown.

Allen found the endzone multiple times with his legs in the first half, showcasing his elite ability as a runner.

The star quarterback had some costly turnovers throughout the matchup. Two forced throws resulted in interceptions.

This was one of the worst games of Allen's 2022 campaign, reminding fans of his rookie season.

The past 6 quarters have not been friendly for Allen. However,, this could be the wakeup call the young quarterback needs.

Josh Allen is the only player to have 2+ total touchdowns in every game this season.

The franchise quarterback finished his day going 18-34 with 205 yards and two interceptions. Allen added 86 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.

Defense plays well, losses tough matchup

Key losses before the matchup meant this game was going to be a test.

Milano, Poyer and White were all ruled inactive before the matchup. It was going to be a test from the beginning.

However, the Bills' defensive front was on fire against a depleted Jets defensive line.

From the very first play, they were making plays happen.

Von Miller and company were running roughshod all afternoon, blowing up the offensive line and making life difficult for Zach Wilson.

Specifically, Miller wound up with a crucial sack and forced fumble as the Jets' were driving in the third quarter.

Again, as a reminder, Miller was worth every penny. With his sack, Miller moved to 20th all time in NFL history for sacks.

Unfortunately, another week means another struggle against the run. The Bills' defense gave up plenty of yards on the ground, an unfortunate recurring occurrence.

The Bills allowed the Jets to gain 311 total yards.

Bills continue to build on their rushing game

With the trade for Nyheim Hines, the Bills traded away Zack Moss.

Immediately, more snaps opened up for rookie James Cook. Cook showed his explosiveness from the start of the game with the added opportunities.

Allen, like many games this season, was just as deadly with his legs.

The Bills continued their trend of being the only team in the NFL to rush for 100+ yards in every game this season.

As a team, the Bills finished with 134 yards on the ground.

Zach Wilson feasts

Zach Wilson has a pheonemanl game against a depleted Bills secondary. While his stats weren't eye-popping, the young quarterback gave the Bills defense plenty of trouble.

However, the offensive line wasn't able to contain a dominant Bills pass rush, causing issues for the Jets quarterback all day.

Wilson, historically, is one of the worst quarterbacks when facing pressure.

Leslie Frazier made the decision to not bring the blitz often enough, allowing Wilson to carve up the defense.

The young quarterback finished the day going 18-25 for 154 yards and a touchdown.

Sauce gets sauced on the first play, Diggs struggles in the second half

Jets rookie corner, Sauce Gardner, was public about his ability to shut down any receiver that comes his way.

Unfortunately, he wasn't ready for Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs.

The Bills duo targeted the young corner from the very first snap.

Diggs was a problem for the Jets' secondary in the first half. Diggs, who before the matchup was second in the NFL for receiving yards, made his presence early.

Sauce got to answer late in the game, getting an interception off Josh Allen.

Ultimately, Diggs was non-existent in the 2nd half as the star reciever failed to bring in a single reception.

Diggs finished the game with 5 catches for 93 yards.

What's next?

Buffalo will look to clean some things up both on offense and defense heading into next week.

It was ugly, but losses like this have been something the Bills have bounced back from in the past.

Onto Minnesota.
