Before he even stepped foot on the field for his first NFL game, Buffalo Bills cornerback Taron Johnson was a meme.

During the Combine, Johnson had one of the most memorable miscues in recent memory. When running the gauntlet drill, Johnson got confused and wound up getting hit in the head.

The internet was relentless and it looked like his career was going to be over before it started. Johnson was from a small school and was using the Combine to continue to make a name for himself.

While others were laughing, Brandon Beane and Sean McDermott were focused on the intangibles and what he could bring to a Leslie Frazier-led defense.

Johnson, the 2017 Big Sky Defensive MVP from Weber State, was selected by the Bills in the fourth round at pick number 121. His impact on the team and Bills franchise history cannot be overstated.

This would be the part in the movie where the record scratches and we fast forward a few years.

Johnson's failure at the combine normally would define someone's career. Not Taron Johnson. The talented corner was part of one of the biggest moments in Buffalo Bills history and would erase the negativity surrounded by his Combine letdown.

During a divisional-round playoff game against the Baltimore Ravens, Johnson showed up on the biggest of stages in one of the biggest moments.

At that time, Lamar nor Josh Allen had thrown a red-zone interception. Jackson was driving down the field and it looked like the bend-don't-break defense was going to give up a touchdown.

Johnson had other plans.

Taron jumped the route and wound up taking it to the house for a 101-yard touchdown. Even though there were only a select number of fans allowed to attend due to COVID protocols, you never would've guessed it. The stadium, and the internet, erupted. If for some reason you don't remember or haven't seen this play, it's worth every second of your time.

In just a few seconds, Johnson turned into a meme. The talented corner needed only a few more seconds during a playoff game to redeem himself entirely.
