It's no surprise the Buffalo Bills are in the midst of looking for added help on offense. Primarily in the running game.

Despite ranking first in overall offense, they rank 22nd in the league in rushing yards and 11th in yards per attempt (4.8). With most of those coming from Josh Allen, who’s averaging 5.5 yards per attempt.

They are actively inquiring about running backs like Cam Akers, Kareem Hunt and Antonio Gibson. All with the intent of adding better depth and firepower alongside RB Devin Singeltary.

Now, it looks like they are looking for the Golden Goose, rather than decently attractive duckling.

The Bills are calling into New Orleans, looking to add two-time All-Pro and five-time Pro Bowl RB Alivn Kamara.

It has been revealed recently that the Philadelphia Eagles were interested in trading for Kamara, but with the Saints desiring their first-round pick return to them as part of the exchange.

With the RB trade market for top performers altered with Christian McCaffrey, could Buffalo give up their first-round pick?

Through six season in NOLA, Kamara has become one of the league's elite. With 397 career receptions, as well as 8,643 combined yards and 67 combined touchdowns, he averages 6.24 yards every time he touches the ball.

The skillset is obvious, but the contract is likely what complicates things.

He is signed through 2026 and Buffalo wouldn't be able to move off his deal until 2024 at the earliest without suffering a dead cap hit without accruing savings. However, he is only guaranteed $1 million in 2023 and he no longer has any guarantees on his deal.

Even with the Buffalo Bills having cap issues of their own, they continue to show they are willing to play with the salary cap in order to retain their top talent.

Even at the cost of a first-round pick? If it lands them holding a Lombardi Trophy in February, Buffalo shouldn't hesitate to send the 32nd overall pick to New Orleans.

Could anyone stop the NFL’s best offense if it gets better? Or are Bills players already getting their ring sizes measured?
