The Buffalo Bills are coming off the heels of another AFC East crown and yet another divisional round let down.

Now into the 2023 offseason, there is some speculation of which players the Bills can ultimately keep or have to let walk.

For now, the biggest competition in the division is the Miami Dolphins. Seeing the elevated play of QB Tua Tagovailoa is an enormous factor in their success. Buffalo went 2-1 against the Dolphins, all games decided by three points or less.

However, it's what the New York Jets decide to do that may alter the division in 2023.

Making it no secret already that they intend to address their QB position with a veteran, they are heavy favorites to trade for Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers. Making it clear that they are interested.

The Buffalo Bills went 1-1 to the Jets in 2022. Contests decided by three and eight points respectively.

However, it's the broader scope that could hurt the Bills.

New York went 7-10 on the season, with quarterback play from Zach Wilson, Mike White, Joe Flacco and Chris Streveler all taking at least one start. The best play coming from White.

Even still, of the Jets 10 losses, six were one score games and 11 games fell under Rodgers' career passing yards per game (256.8).

Changing the fortunes of just half of those losses would change the Jets into a playoff team. As well as a serious contender obstacle for the Buffalo Bills.

Should the Jets make this trade happen, it puts a lot of pressure on the Bills to reload an already stacked team. While Buffalo has a number of quality unrestricted free agents, if the Jets make this move it may force Buffalo to once again make another splash.

Something in the Von Miller wheelhouse. Jalen Ramsey maybe? DeAndre Hopkins?

The Bills have time to consider but the Jets are already striking and the iron isn't even hot yet.
