The Buffalo Bills had a crazy day on Monday.
Nyheim Hines suffered a brutal season-ending injury. Beane and the front office immediately followed up with a slew of tryouts and signings. Now, Stefon Diggs is starting to make noise with a recent Instagram post.
Diggs, sometimes known for his cryptic or confusing social media messages, was back at it again with another powerful message before camp. Needless to say, the superstar pass-catcher didn't hold back.
His message was simple, "Some ppl threw dirt on my name while others have given flowers. The thing is, it was all a garden to me… I grew from it."
The Instagram story had a simple message for people on both sides of the aisle when it comes to the All-Pro WR. After his outburst against the Bengals and some offseason messages, along with McDermott saying he was "very concerned," a portion of fans and critics seem divided on Diggs.
Wherever you stand, you can't deny his abilities on the football field. Lucky for everyone, Diggs seems geared up and ready to take the world by storm. Diggs finished last season with yet another Pro Bowl bid to go along with 108 catches for 1429 yards and 11 touchdowns in the regular season and breaking records left and right. However, I don't think any of that matters to him. Diggs wants to win, he's expressed or alluded to the fact that his frustration stems from the team's inability to get over that hump and win the Super Bowl. Diggs is the ultimate competitor and sometimes that can bite him.
However you feel about Diggs and his perceived antics, he's a difference-maker on the football field. There were plenty of games where he and Josh Allen connected in some of the most crucial moments to set the team up to win the game. Remember his insane catch against the Lions last year? While we all focused on Allen's throw on what we all knew was a bum elbow, who was on the other side of that catch? Stefon Diggs. This isn't to take away from Allen's elite abilities, but rather to remember that there are two true superstars on the offense. The Bills have had a dominant offense on one of the best teams across the league and a large part of that is from the work and leadership of Stefon Diggs.
Whether Diggs was just getting something off his chest, or if he feels like he needs to prove someone wrong, or if none of this bothers him and it was all a game, he seems ready to compete.
With camp about to start, all eyes need to be on Rochester and what Diggs is about to do at camp.
Stefon Diggs responds to backlash over emotional reaction to Bills’ playoff loss
One of the biggest moments, unfortunately, in the Buffalo Bills' loss to the Cincinnati Bengals was a sideline moment with Stefon Diggs. Diggs was visibly angry with something going on in the contest. Whether it be not getting enough targets or just the overall anger at the situation, we don't know. To add salt to […]
