The Buffalo Bills struggled mightily throughout their embarrassing loss to the New England Patriots. All facets of the game weren't able to overcome injuries, questionable calls from the referees, and a late-game push from the Mac Jones-led Patriots.
Franchise QB Josh Allen seemed irate after the contest, giving reporters one-word answers and overall seeming displeased with the way he and his team performed, and for good reason. Sean McDermott was even asked about Ken Dorsey's future with the team, a sign of just how bad the loss was for the organization.
I previously wrote about the offensive struggles in the first half this team has faced over the past three weeks, and it's alarming, to say the least. After the contest against the Patriots, WR Stefon Diggs denied a postgame interview and seemed quite angry himself. He's an ultimate competitor who at the end of the day just wants to win.
Much like this past offseason, Diggs was back at it again with another cryptic message that sent the Bills Mafia through a frenzy. Once again, Diggs is back in the national spotlight for something other than his insane abilities on the football field.
On both X, formerly known as Twitter, and Instagram, Diggs voiced his concern with only a few small words, alluding to his current mindset with a good message on what he and the team need to do moving forward. His message read, "Turn the page."
Obviously, we have no idea for certain what he could be discussing. The superstar WR is known for throwing random song verses, bizarre quotes, and just overall cryptic messaging but our internet sleuthing wasn't hard to ascertain that he's talking about the previous performance and how the team needs to move on.
Buffalo is under the microscope right now, and for good reason. This team, coming into the season, had hopes of a Super Bowl and found themselves losing ugly games to division rivals and falling down the rankings within their own division. Not the start of the season fans were hoping for.
Not all is lost, though, as the offense has flashed early in the season with some pretty dominating performances, it just feels like they've run out of juice or moved away from what was initially working. Diggs, with his messaging, shared that they need to turn a new page, and they have an opportunity to do that in just a few days.
While on a short week, Buffalo will look to turn a page and get back to their winning ways in a contest against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday Night Football. What better way to get the bitter taste out of our mouths from an embarrassing loss than to bounce back with a dominant win?
Diggs' cryptic message is a stark reminder for anyone doubting this team, there is still plenty of time, they are chock full of talent, and they will get back on the right track. With the trade deadline inching closer, another brutal loss could have the team being buyers to try and fix whatever is broken on this team.
