The pressure is on for Frank Reich.

Recent reports have suggested that team owner David Tepper isn't happy with the direction of the offense, which means Reich's job security isn't a sure thing.

He knows that. And the Carolina Panthers head coach isn't thinking too much of what may come of his job as the season continues.

"This is the NFL," Reich said. "We all realize we’re on day-to-day contracts. That comes with the great responsibility you get. I enjoy that part of it. I understand the accountability that comes with it. I embrace that, and there’s no place I’d rather be than right in the middle of it.”

At 1-8, Reich's job security is far from a guarantee. Reich was hired to be an offensive mind, and that hasn't worked to this point of the season. The Panthers are currently averaging the third-fewest yards per game (275.6) and the sixth-fewest points per game (17.0).

It is ugly.

And if there is no improvement in Week 11, the Panthers may find themselves in a coaching search all over again.
