The Chicago Bears are leading an important charge in the NFL.

Under GM Ryan Poles, the Bears have already underwent quite a facelift as he sets sail in his second season with Chicago. One of the changes Poles and the Bears have pioneered has been hiring women in important roles within the organization.

On Wednesday, the Bears announced the hiring of Darby Dunnagan as the team’s Director of Video Operations. She is set to replace Dave Hendrickson who will be retiring in June after 28 seasons.

Dunnagan previously served as Northwestern University’s Director of Player Development. She joins Ashton Washington as the second woman working alongside Poles. Washington was recently promoted to become the Bears Player Personnel Coordinator.

The Bears are changing in more ways than one under Poles. Not only will the on-field product look different in 2023, but Poles is shaking up the way the organization looks as the team continues to incorporate more inclusivity by structuring one of the most diverse staffs in the NFL.
