The Chicago Bears are wielding an unusual amount of power after securing the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

There will be plenty of speculation in the coming months centered around what Chicago will do with the pick. General manager Ryan Poles must make a decision on whether to use the pick on a franchise-changing player, or to trade it away to a quarterback-needy team in exchange for a massive haul.

Poles’ decision looms ahead, but while the Bears work through potential options, one sportsbook believes the team will trade the pick.

BetOnline has already posted a handful of offseason prop bets. One of which being, “Will the Chicago Bears trade the first overall draft pick?”

The odds are listed below:

Yes (-180)

No (+140)

It’s about what most Bears fans would expect with the oddsmakers leaning towards the idea that Poles ends up moving back in the draft.

While it’s fun to contemplate all of the potential scenarios involving the first overall pick, it’s hard to argue against trading out of the spot. After all, one player isn’t going to fix all of the roster’s problems. However, by moving back in the draft Chicago could add a handful of contributors for its 2023 season.
