Before the Cincinnati Bengals' joint practices with the Los Angeles Rams this week, head coach Zac Taylor had a simple request — no fighting.
Well, the Bengals and the Rams did not honor that request on Thursday.
Practice between the two teams ended early after a massive brawl broke out between Bengals offensive lineman La'el Collins and some Rams defenders.
Collins apparently ripped the helmet off a Rams defender and tossed it.
Here are some of the details that are out there:
Taylor said he didn't want his team becoming a headline during these joint practices with the Rams.
When he said that, I felt like it was wishful thinking. And it turns out I was right.
Ultimately, this is just competitors competing. It's been happening all summer during camps and it doesn't mean anything bad that Cincinnati and Los Angeles couldn't keep themselves from fighting this week.
